Why I Otter

2P / Ages 14+ / 15 Minutes

Button Shy hand assembled games are labeled for ages 14+.

Otters love to frolic by the river! Send your best otter in to make friends, or let a weaker otter slink in to steal a prize from the river. Why I otter…!

Why I Otter is a quick-playing trick-taker, players gain rewards for both winning and losing individual tricks, so choosing when to go big and when to go home is everything! Each round players create the river by dealing 3 cards, jump in by playing a single otter card face-up, and then compare otters to distribute the rewards. The winner takes the two otter cards into their den and adds one of the river cards to their hand. The loser adds one river card to their hand and assigns the other to endgame scoring. After each player has played all of their otters, score the otters in your den according to the scoring conditions on the four river cards. Highest score wins!
